Definitely, the Esmeralda Lagoon is a place that you cannot miss on your visit to Ushuaia. Throughout the walk you come across different landscapes, which make you want to take more than one photograph. Keep in mind that, unlike other excursions, during this activity you have 4 hours of walking round trip.
We enter a valley of glacial origin, where you walk on peat soils, you find beaver dams and you will be surrounded by a sub-Antarctic forest on the same path that is slightly inclined.
Encourage yourself to connect with the nature around you. Enjoy both the silence of the forest, as well as the sound of the streams, the small rocks, and the immensity of the mountains.
The route lasts approximately 9 km in total between round trip. We follow the stream of emerald-colored water that already gives us an indication of what awaits us ahead.
Upon arrival you have in front of your eyes a mirror of impressive emerald-colored water, with large mountains around it. Here you have time to have lunch, rest, refresh your feet in the water, and enjoy the view that nature itself offers you.
