Cabo San Pablo

PRICE FOR PERSON

Cape San Pablo

Cape San Pablo is one of the great attractions of the island. This area is famous for its past of expeditions and shipwrecks. In the morning we take National Route No. 3 and cross the Andes mountain range until we reach Tolhuin, a small town in the heart of the island. We make a stop to visit the famous La Unión Bakery. This is a traditional meeting point for both locals and visitors; definitely the inevitable of the place.

Continuing on our way, we take the complementary route “A”, to the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and Cabo San Pablo. Throughout the route, we are able to appreciate picturesque rooms; hill landscapes; beech forests; rivers and cliffs, as well as some animals such as guanacos, foxes and condors. At this point, we walk to an isolated mountain with an abandoned lighthouse by trails of guanacos, crossing paths with them throughout the journey.

Arriving at the beaches of the cape, we walk to an isolated mountain where an old leaning lighthouse stands and, in front of the coast, the ship “Desdémona” can be seen, which ran aground in Cabo San Pablo in 1985. This gives the place an air of mystery in which the shipwrecks and adventures of the past are combined with the bravery of the southern seas, inviting us to take a trip to the past. Finally, we visit a ranch to have our lunch included in this tour. Then, we start our return to the city of Ushuaia.

  • Duration: 10 hours and a half.
